Igneus Depths is the extended area deep down the volcano Mt. Igneus. It is also the deepest part of the volcano, hence the name "Depths", and it consists of spirals going all the way down to the molten lava. A lava-fall can be clearly seen in the middle of these loops. This area includes a long path that leads to the Legendary Pokémon Heatran. HM8 Rock Climb and Harvest Badge are required for the player to gain access to this area.
In the lowest level of Igneus Depths, Heatran can be found at the end of the long descending path. Once the player clicks on Heatran, it will give out a loud roar, and the battle will commence. Players only have one chance to catch it, so save beforehand and turn off the Auto Save function. As Heatran is very hard to catch and shows up deep in a volcano, it is recommended to stock up on Dusk Balls in Poké Ball Emporium, Anthian City - Shopping District beforehand.
Note: Rarity levels are estimations according to this scale and might be subject to changes due to different encounter assessment results.
